Sometimes I wake from a dreamy sleep with a confused mind stressed to figure out if I am still in the dream or not. This also happens when we binge watching a heart touching Netflix series or reading a classic novel. Many of us find ourself in this scenario. This confusion hints towards a very philosophical conclusion about life. It connects with a question that triggers many of mankind's greatest minds throughout the years of their life--- What Life is? Philosophically speaking, it's very skeptical to answer this still unanswered question. Rather we can perceive the answer through our experiences.
Every day we move through the passage of events, often called Moments. If you thought retrospectively, you couldn't find any point that is void of moments. Moments are the atoms of Life. If we could break life to its tiniest part, we'll find the smallest pieces are just the moments, the memories we are carrying with the soul. Life is a series of these moments connected with the choices we make. It's like a movie where we play a series of pictures very rapidly. It seems like everything is moving and changing continuously but it's just the pace which gives you this illusion. Deep down it's just a collection of pictures. These pictures are the events frozen in time. We capture that time through the lenses and then store it in a hard drive called memory. For living intellectuals like us, we capture moments through our senses and then store them in hidden part of our brain. Then we played them in our dreams, in our retrospective thoughts, in our nostalgia.... Just like a movie right!
In Novels, writers create a literary artifact with events crafted in words, imagery and surrealism. All the ups and downs, mutual interactions and relations between the characters and even between the character and the depicted surroundings give the story its motion. It flows like a river, sometimes very fast, sometimes very slow; sometimes it takes an unexpected turn, called a plot twist. And then at the end the flow stops, all the motion ceases and we arrive at a point beyond which nothing exists. In Novel it's called the climax, For Life it's called Death... A point where all the story, all the connections ends. A Novel is also a series of events connected by actions due to complicated psychological relationships between the protagonist(s) and the other characters. It happens in reality too. Life is indeed a Novel!
Life is beautiful, but with a proper choice. It is simple, but with a proper habit. L is an Encyclopedia but the writer is you! The first line might make you rush down the memory and search for all of your guilt and mistakes but Hold on...!! It's those mistakes which make you, which give you a shape and this "You" are the most beautiful version of you which you have ever had. Mistakes make life the most beautiful. It shapes the course of life. It trains you, so you can act accordingly in your later difficulties. Life is more sort of a betting game, it's gambling. No one knows what will be the right choice. Again, the choices change from person to person, situation to situation. It's the mistakes which taught us which one could have been the right choice. It gives you that eternal knowledge which is searched by the generations of intellectuals and philosophers. So, just celebrate your mistakes. It might break you but it gives you the power and courage to hit back stronger than ever. Life demands your self-belief. Life takes the form as you see it. Every moment is precious. Every mistake is beautiful. Live the life, never try to consume it.
You are what you believe in. You become that which you believe you can become... "Bhagavad Gita"
